Many celebrities now are jumping on the plant-based bandwagon … Bill Clinton, Paul McCartney, Diane Keaton. Remember, celebrities need to look good. They don’t want to be overweight, because a plant-based diet, equals weight loss. You’re going to find your ideal body weight.

You’re going to go back to the weight that you had in high school or close to it, but first, let me explain that a plant-based diet is not a deprivation, calorie restrictive diet. Quite the opposite is true. There’s no calorie counting, you eat until you’re satiated, and you’ll still lose those extra pounds and find your ideal weight.

In fact, if you like to eat, a plant-based diet is the way to go. You can eat until satiation, and you’re not going to gain weight, and you’re going to have the energy to exercise, because remember, exercise is one of the keys to weight loss and to maintaining your ideal body weight. That’s why I say “This is a lifestyle,” diet which will enable you to take your exercise up a notch.

If you’re the type of person that struggles maintaining a consistent workout program off the court, you’re finally going to have the energy that you need to keep your off court workouts consistent, because as I mentioned, remember, you’ve got to have both of them there. You’ve got to have that plant-based food, the good food, nutrient dense that gives you energy, and then you’re going to be able to workout.

Another reason that you’re going to experience weight loss is because of improved digestion. When you eat plant-based foods, you’re getting extra fiber and water content into your digestive tract. These foods pass through the digestive tract like a breeze. Your bowel movements are going to be a breeze. Poops from heaven. You’re going to have great bowel movements. Okay?

Also, when you eliminate animal-based foods from your diet, your body will now have the energy to detoxify excess water weight and fat. Excess water weight is basically there. It basically suspends toxins, the excess water, but once you start eating plants, your body will start to detoxify all those toxins, you’ll lose that excess water weight, and you’ll start to lose some fat. Remember, weight loss is key to moving better on the tennis court and for increased flexibility. You’ll be more functional on the tennis court, and you’ll be more functional in life in general.
